A role plugin should collapse setup, not add options. Here's the checklist.
A role plugin is only useful if it removes decisions. When you switch Cowerk to the FP&A plugin, it should already know your reports, your variance thresholds, and your review cadence. If it just adds ten checkboxes, it's not a plugin — it's furniture.
What a good plugin does:
- Preloads terminology ("OPEX" not "expenses")
- Preloads deliverable templates (variance narrative, board update)
- Preloads review rules (flag > 10% variance)
- Preloads share targets (Slack #finance-leads)
